Allan McCollum “One Thousand Women”

Graphicstudio | Allan McCollum's “One Thousand Women” Installed at New Chanel Store in London

Allan McCollum’s “Each and Every One of You” may have started out here in Tampa, as a Graphicstudio edition, but it has since traveled to La Salle de Bains in Lyon and Galerie Thomas Schulte in Berlin. And now, a commissioned version of the work entitled “One Thousand Women” has been installed at a flagship Chanel store in London. If you’re in the area, you can find it at 167-170 Sloane Street. More about why “One Thousand Women” was selected for the flagship store on the Coco Chanel blog.

USFCAM

USFCAM | In the News

Local publications Creative Loafing and TBO have been presenting the museum with high praises recently. We’ve got the highlights below. Creative Loafing has bestowed a Best of the Bay award to the USF Contemporary Art Museum and TBO placed USFCAM in the good company of the Dali Museum, Ringling and other area art institutions with a recommendation to visit (even though it’s hard to find)

USFCAM | Did You Step into the Spotlight at Art Thursday?

This “Art Thursday” we invited visitors to ‘step into the spotlight’ as a participant in a work of art in our current exhibition The Talent Show. The piece, Limit of Projection I, created by David Lamelas, is an interactive conceptual artwork that consists of a single spotlight illuminating a darkened gallery. Visitors were photographed in the spotlight by USF MFA graduate Jim Reiman. Find and download your photos HERE.

Alex Latz, Kym, 2011

Graphicstudio | Fresh off the Graphicstudio presses! Alex Katz, Kym

We have had some eager collectors waiting on this new Alex Katz edition for sometime now, but the eleven run regimen for the work and our busy production schedule meant interested buyers had to wait a little longer than usual. But now the wait is over.

Video Still

USFCAM | Kate Gilmore, Buster Time-lapse Installation Video

Thanks to the wonders of modern technology, we offer you time-lapse video from the Stagecraft show at USFCAM. We put up our cameras to capture every moment of the set build for the Kate Gilmore piece, Buster. Our video below includes the actual on-site audio as well! It made for some interesting sounds from our gallery. Check it out!

Graphicstudio | Christian Marclay Wins Golden Lion Award

It’s been a career year for our friend who was just awarded the prestigious “Golden Lion” at the Venice Biennale for his video project The Clock.
